The 17.3in ASUS G74SX-FHD-TZ130V is a very well-rounded gaming notebook, and for $1,999 at Dick Smith Electronics it’s a really great bargain. It’s got the high-end build quality you’d hope for in a gaming notebook along with the specs needed to run the latest and greatest games at the highest settings.

An NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M dedicated graphics card provides plenty of grunt, so newer games like StarCraft 2 or Call of Duty: Black Ops at the highest settings on the 17.3in full HD screen. There’s also 8GB of RAM and a high-end Intel Core i7-2630QM (2GHz) processor that can ramp up to a mighty 2.9GHz using the integrated Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 Technology.

To take full advantage of the full HD screen there’s a Blu-ray burner, and to ensure you can rip Blu-ray movies with impunity there’s a whopping 1,500GB of hard disk drive storage. Although you can move it around if you need to, at 4.28kg it’s not what we’d call mobile.
